After a two-festival hiatus, Coachella made its triumphant return—and now it’s time to turn our attention to Coachella 2023. The Indio music festival typically marks one of the earliest live music weekends across the country [and maybe we’re a bit biased, but we’d say its lineup outclasses nearly every other music festival, too]. The 2023 edition is still months away, but when it arrives it’ll bring plenty of bands to see and amazing things to eat and drink between sets [spoiler: food from some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles]. Here’s what you need to know.
What is Coachella?
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual music festival held over two weekends in Indio, just east of Palm Springs.
When is Coachella?
The festival is held over two weekends, April 14–16 and April 21–23, 2023.
When do Coachella tickets go on sale?
Presale begins Friday, June 17 at 10am. You can register here for access. Note that for the 2023 event, Coachella is switching over to AXS for its ticketing platform.
How much are Coachella tickets?
We hope you’ve been saving up [all of the following prices include fees]: General admission costs between $549 and $649, depending on when you’re able to snag them. Shuttle combo tickets cost $649 to $699. For VIP, it’ll cost you $1,119 to $1,399. Check out the Coachella website for wide range of camping rates.
What will the Coachella lineup be like?
It’s likely that Frank Ocean will play the 2023 fest, but otherwise we don’t have any lineup info yet. For reference, the 2022 event featured Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Swedish House Mafia and the Weeknd.
Coachella 2022 is not over yet but many festival-goers have already started making plans for the 2023 edition.
Following several delays, the music and arts festival finally returned to Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
The first weekend took place between April 15th-April 17th, while the second weekend takes place from April 22nd-April 24th.

Coachella tickets for every year typically go on sale in late May or early June of the previous year. Therefore, we can expect 2023 tickets to be announced in the last week of May or first week of June 2022.

Coachella prices
Coachella 2023 prices are yet to be confirmed, however, tickets are expected to start from at least $400 for general admission tickets.
GA tickets in 2022 were priced between $449 and $549 [excluding fees] and $633 with a shuttle add-in. VIP passes for Tier 1 started from $929 and Tier 4 tickets were priced at $1,119.
Back in 2019, general admission tickets started from $429 and went to $999 for VIP packages.
In 2023, Coachella attendees should expect to pay at least $449 and above for GA tickets, at least $1000 for VIP passes and above $600 with a shuttle add-on. VIP areas offer festival-goers specialty food and drink vendors, air-conditioned restrooms, as well as shaded seating areas and full cash bars.

Is there a line-up confirmed?
An official line-up is yet to be confirmed but Frank Ocean was the first headliner to be announced for Coachella 2023.
The festival’s co-founder Paul Tollett made the announcement earlier this year, saying at the time: “Right now, it’s the Wild West. I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually they get to see everyone that we talked about.”
According to a recent Rolling Stone article, the outlet suggested Nicki Minaj to headline Coachella 2023 but this is yet to be confirmed.
Niki DeMar has confirmed that they will be performing at next year’s festival.
