The upcoming 2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo is reportedly in the works. This elegant sedan deserves a high-performance variant with a sportier appearance. However, sedans and other cars are not as popular as before. Whatsoever, many manufacturers are slowly killing their lineups of hatchbacks and sedans. Still, Sentra is quite an important model in Nissan’s lineup.

As we said, it is an elegant sedan with a modern design, lots of high-tech features, and much more. This model introduced a complete redesign two years ago. We don’t expect a major overhaul anytime soon, but Sentra Nismo should be the most important upgrade. Without further ado, here’s everything we know about this model at the moment.

Nissan Sentra Nismo Exterior Design

At this moment, we don’t have that much information regarding the new 2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo. This sporty sedan will surely depart from the base model in many ways. For a start, Sentra Nismo will have a lower ride height and larger wheels. Of course, the focus is on delivering sportiness, so we expect a slightly wider body as well. Nissan will add a rear spoiler, new exterior colors, badges, and much more.

The length of the vehicle will not change, so this high-performance variant will be 182.4 inches long. The front fascia will wear the same recognizable V-Motion grille. The Midnight Edition package rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and Sentra Nismo will surely gain either 19-inch or 20-inch rollers.

Interior Features

Again, expect plenty of sportiness inside the cabin. The 2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo will gain a perfect combination of black exterior mixed with red accents. Nissan will add sporty seats, along with new pedals, a sporty steering wheel, and all-weather floor mats.

Of course, we expect to see tinted windows, a larger touchscreen, updated infotainment, and some additional safety aids. As of now, the base Sentra model comes with a 7-inch touchscreen. This means the Sentra Nismo will surely get at least an 8-inch display as standard. Still, Nissan will surely provide a surprise or two.

Possible Engine Options

Previous Sentra Nismo has been produced three years ago. Now, the 2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo will be something completely different. The previous model came with a 1.6-liter engine, producing almost 200 hp. The base Sentra model comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 150 hp. According to many reports, the all-new Sentra Nismo will produce around 300 horsepower.

This means we expect a turbocharged engine under the hood. On the other hand, we don’t know if this sporty high-performance sedan will have a manual transmission. Interestingly, you can also read rumors regarding Sentra Nismo with a hybrid powertrain option. While we are waiting for official info, the Nismo variant with hybrid power won’t happen for sure.

2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo Price and Release Date

The base Sentra model will not cost over $25,000. On the other hand, the 2023 Nissan Sentra Nismo will cost closer to $30,000, if not even more. The Japanese carmaker is yet to announce official details, which should happen in the coming months. Shortly after that, later in 2022, Sentra Nismo will hit the dealerships.
