We’re looking for a Front-End Developer to work with us on Brand New Product in Brainly’s Ecosystem. Although the position is for Frontend, the candidate should be able to convert into Fullstack (take Bootcamp) in the future. Crucial is confirmation if the candidate is willing to develop her/his career in this direction. And while the position is for a Junior, the candidate should represent self-organization skills and a self-starting attitude. We don’t expect the skills yet, but an attitude that lets the person find themselves within SWAT.   

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

• Design, develop, and maintain code for the Brainly platform to enhance the great learning experience for our users
• Solve simple challenges such as performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with other software engineers to design scalable services, plan feature roll-out, and ensure high reliability and performance of your deliverables
• Conduct code reviews, contribute high-quality documentation, and build robust test suites for your features
• Design and build rich text collaboration tool for web and mobile

WHAT WOULD WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• 1+ year of professional experience as a Front-End engineer
• Basic knowledge of modern JavaScript (ESNext)
• Experience in React
• Experience in testing with JavaScript frameworks
• Experience in Responsive Web Design
• Great knowledge of modern CSS methodology (i.e. BEM)
• Experience in CSS Flexbox Layout
• Knowledge of best practices in Website, JavasScript and Mobile performance and optimization topic
• Fluency in English
• Professional maturity
• Self-organized and self-starting
• Focus on quality
• High attention to detail
• Ability to, after onboarding, start delivering features with guidance from senior engineers, in cooperation with peers and PM

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU STAND OUT?

• In-depth knowledge of the latest React and its ecosystem
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience in CSS Grid Layout
• Experience in mobile-first approach in Responsive Web Design
• Experience in End-to-End testing
• Knowledge of CSS and Animations performance and optimization
• Production experience in Service Workers
• Experience in real time communication (websockets)
• Experience in building rich text editors

• Salary: 7 500 - 13 000 PLN gross/ monthly
