The action that fails in the msi is the "recreation of junctions" (which is quite necessary). And then we can see whether it works if ran outside the msi. As @boutinb questions, what is different between the windows pcs? I don't know, but there must be something different that causes this issue. Solution:In order to fix the issue check the Windows environment variable PATH. If "C:\Windows\system32" is missing, add it by doing the following:
