Excellent conditionnwith only very minor insignificant but expected scrathces. Itwas loaded with Catalina rather than Big Sur. That's the only drawback. Otherwise everything is in working order....so far. I was able to access all of my old information quickly. . As of today,I think it's a VERY good deal for the money. Another excellent experience with Amazon. (Although I was skeptical about buying a refurbished computer I figured cheaper than a new one of course and even if it lasts a couple years, I will be grateful.) Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2022 I purchased this unit about a week ago and it finally arrived today and I was excited and happy to use it. I didn't listen to the more negative reviews about battery health because some people still had 80% plus like the item description says and that's not bad to me. So I ordered it anyways. Alas, I may have just received the worst unit of them all in terms of battery health. I checked my Macbook's battery health utilizing a third party program and it said that it only had 67% battery health remaining. I was immediately notified that the battery needed to be serviced/replaced by Apple right after opening up the Macbook for the first time. Not only that, but the charger wasn't up to par either. Unfortunately like many of the other reviews here said, the wattage is very below where it should be for a mid-2014 Macbook Pro. According to Apple the charger should at least output 85W at all times. But unfortunately according to the program I used, the charger that was given to me standard with the Macbook was only outputting up to 46W max. Not good at all, not good at all. Oh yeah, and my Macbook also came with a ton of scratches all over the outside of the Macbook itself, on its top cover. So alas, it seems the negative reviews for this product are truly genuine. Your mileage will vary when ordering this unit, so buyer beware. My recommendation? Buy yourself a new charger right away once you order this unit. And be prepared for a disappoint once you receive as well, always check your battery health right away as well. Don't let them get away with this. I've submitted the return request and will be returning my unit tomorrow for a full refund. Not sure if i'll order from this provider again thereafter. We'll see. Good luck! Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2020 4 star review for Tek Galaxy and the refurbished MacBook Pro I ordered. I was skeptical, b/c it's refurbished. But I've had it for nearly 2 months now and I couldn't be happier. Works as advertised. No issues to date. Customer service was outstanding and responsive as I was trying to make my purchasing decision. In my opinion, this was a slam dunk deal considering that it is a 15" model, upgraded from the base model to a Core i7 processor w/ 16GB Memory and 512GB Solid State Drive, for under $1,200. And it's a mid-2015 model, one of the best Apple machines made, which includes the standard USB ports (two of them), an HDMI port, and the old style keyboard, so this thing functions like a PC for me (which is what I'm used to), hooking up to a second monitor with ease, but with the power and convenience of a Mac. For comparison, I bought my wife the brand new 13" MacBook Pro w/ about the same specs and it was over $1,500. While it looks really nice, she envies my screen size and her micro USB ports are a joke, in my opinion. Useless, unless you fork over more cash to buy the compatible peripherals. Just another Apple money grab. My only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that my unit did come with some pretty noticeable deep scratches on the top side. I understand it was refurbished, but I was told most models were in excellent condition, meaning hardly any noticeable wear. This is quite noticeable. But it doesn't effect performance and I have to acknowledge that it is over 5 years old, so I can't complain too much. My other comment is that I thought Tek Galaxy was a Texas-based start up tech company, according to their description. That was a factor in my decision-making as far as trust, since I live in Texas. But my order shipped from San Fransisco, CA and when I Googled the address, it was a residential address. So that was kind of strange and questionable as to where my machine actually came from and their advertising. But I'm not going to question their business model and what 3rd party contracts they may use. At the end of the day, as long as it continues to perform, I'll be happy. And yes, I purchased the 4-year Asurion Protection Plan. Again, cheaper than what I paid for my wife's Apple Care, and the coverage period lasts longer. No experience with Asurion. I'll post an update if I ever have to file a claim. Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2022 Bought this for my brother in college. For the price, it was steal. Wasn’t expecting much since it was in “acceptable condition”. When it came it was such a pleasant surprise, barely 300 cycles on the battery (which holds itself fairly well for over 4 hours of intense use), no visible scratches, everything working perfectly, the only flaw was with the
